Decidedly un-poxy behaviour.

TICKETS FOR U2′s massive Croke Park concert, which will celebrate 30 years of The Joshua Tree, sold out in minutes this morning.

Lots of fans were left frustrated and disappointed, with the usual complaints of tickets available for astronomical prices on the Ticketmaster-owned reseller Seatwave shortly after going on sale:

Groups of diehard fans started camping outside the St Stephen’s Green shopping centre in Dublin from Friday onwards – and last night, they received a special delivery from Bono himself.

Speaking to Morning Ireland reporter Jackie Fox earlier today, one fan who had been queuing since 2am on Sunday morning described what happened:

A waiter walks up the road, and a lady comes with him… She had 15 pizza boxes, and she said “Courtesy and compliments from Mr Bono himself, as a gesture to you for queuing up all night.”

“He’s very kind and he cares about the fans,” said another fan from Brazil.

It wasn’t expected at all. The delivery arrived and they said it was a gift from Bono. I was like, “What!”

Ah Bono. We’re sorry for all the times we called you a pox. Now add another date for the good of the country’s health, will you?
